Instrument Parts

Industrial instrumentation is used to control and monitor conditions including temperature, pressure and fluid levels in processing facilities, oil refineries, petrochemical plants, oil and gas pipelines, and distribution operations. Common applications of oil and gas instrumentation include monitoring the presence of flammable and combustible gases in production and storage areas and monitoring emissions for pollution control. Instrumentation is also used for monitoring and controlling flow in delivery systems. There are three primary components of industrial instrumentation which are sensors, transducers and transmitters:

  • Sensors: Measure the physical properties of a solid, fluid or gas. They provide continuous measurement to detect and monitor gas and gas emissions.
  • Transducers: Convert variations in temperature, pressure, flow or level to electric signal that is then picked up by a transmitter.
  • Transmitters: Serve as an interface between sensors and measurement instrumentation such as level sensors, flow meters, and pressure sensors. This equipment is responsible for sending a digital signal to the main control system.

There are some characteristic need to be consider in selecting a sensor. They are:

Performance characteristics This includes all the specifications regarding the required performance of instrumentation in a certain process such as accuracy, resolution, rangeability, sensitivity, repeatability, dynamic performance, etc.
Environmental conditions It is essential for specifying the necessary protection to ensure that instrumentation is working properly with regard to safety requirements and operational conditions.
Influences on processes The extent to which the processes will be disturbed during the measuring process should be included. For example, significant pressure loss can be caused by some flow measurement techniques.
Durability Durability and ruggedness of process instrumentation should be considered according to application requirements.
Maintainability and operability Maintenance requirements and ease of use, as well as operation and effect on the running costs of instrumentation need to be weighed.
Purchase cost Initial cost should be considered according to the needs and situation of end-user requirements.

Here in TUSB, we provide all type of instrumentation for variety of conditions. We provide explosion proof equipment, high temperature and pressure and other kind of instrument. Do contact us for any inquiry.
